What to Expect:

Scheduling: Reach out to us to book as early as your 2nd trimester. Our newborn session is usually scheduled for when baby is 4-7 days old, this time frame is key to newborn photography, as the baby sleeps more deeply during these early days. For babies between 8-14 days old we would expect more baby to be more alert, awake, and less flexible, therefore we will likely have less of the typical sleepy posed shots and more wrapped and awake shots. We also have a different style milestone session for babies up to 4 months old, be sure to let us know as we can accommodate for different posing and incorporate family for these sessions.
Preference Sheet: Before the session, you will fill out a Preference Sheet so that we can tailor your session to your preferences.
Date : We will book your session for an estimated 4-7 days after the due date and once baby arrives you will notify us so that we can reschedule as needed. Once the retainer is paid you will be booked and receive a confirmation email.
Time: Be prepared for the session to last 1-2 hours. Feed baby just before leaving the house, this will ensure that baby naps with a happy full tummy. We provide a comfortable and calm environment for your baby, so there’s plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and capturing those adorable shots.
Preparation Guide: You will then receive a confirmation email with our address which includes our Preparation Guide. This guide ensures our session will run smoothly.
Outfits: We will provide a selection of outfits, wraps, blankets, and bonnets to compliment your baby’s look. Our studio provides a curated wardrobe of newborn outfits to ensure that every baby looks their best for the session. Many store-bought outfits often don’t fit properly or are made from materials that don’t photograph well. Our pieces are specifically chosen for their soft fabrics, perfect fit, and timeless, flattering designs. This allows us to focus on creating beautiful, cohesive images without any distractions, giving you photos you’ll cherish forever.
Temperature: We maintain a cozy and warm environment for your newborn’s comfort. Dress comfortably yourself, as the studio will be quite warm to keep your baby content.
Feeding: Newborns often feed frequently, so it’s a good idea to have extra milk on hand.
Comfort and Safety: Safety is our top priority and we’ve created a safe and comfortable environment for babies. We maintain a strict adherence to safety protocols, using gentle techniques and professional equipment to capture those precious moments without compromising your baby’s safety and comfort. We will gently pose your baby to highlight their delicate features, and always handle your baby with the utmost of care.
Relax: Don’t stress if your baby gets fussy or needs a break. Patience is key, and we’ll work at their pace to ensure beautiful photographs.

Final Product

After your newborn photography session, you can expect to receive a wonderful collection of memories to cherish. Here’s what you’ll receive:

Selections We will schedule an online zoom meeting where you will make your guided final selections. At this time you can decide to add on additional photos for $20 each. We will then carefully retouch each image to enhance its beauty while maintaining a natural look. We’ll make sure your newborn looks their best while preserving the authenticity of the moment.
Digital Image Gallery: We’ll provide you with a secure online gallery accessible via a private link.
High-Resolution Images: The images in your gallery will be high-resolution and suitable for printing. You’ll have the flexibility to print them in various sizes and formats, from standard prints to canvas wraps.
Digital Download Options: You’ll have the option to download the images directly from the gallery to your computer or mobile device. This makes it easy to share them on social media or with loved ones.

Hi there! I’m Sarah, the proud owner of Bells & Whistles Photography in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Formerly a wedding photographer for 8 years, I now focus on studio photography, specializing in capturing the beauty of family connections and childhood wonder.

My photography journey began over 20 years ago, inspired by travels with my husband, Chris. Together, we discovered a passion for storytelling through imagery, which has evolved into a love for documenting fleeting moments with sincerity and emotion.
