Newborn Sessions
What to Expect:
- Scheduling: Reach out to us to book a session well in advance. Our newborn session is only for baby and are best for babies in their first 2 weeks, so it’s a good idea to schedule while you’re still expecting. This timeframe is key to newborn photography, as the baby sleeps more deeply during these early days. We also have a different style session for babies up to 4 months old, be sure to let us know as we can accommodate for different posing and incorporate family for these sessions.
- Consultation: Before the session, we’ll have a phone consultation to get to know your family, discuss your vision, and plan out the session details. This helps us tailor the experience to reflect your family’s unique personality.
Time: Be prepared for the session to last 1-2 hours. Bring baby ready for a feeding as soon as you get to the studio, this will ensure that baby naps with a happy full tummy. We provide a comfortable and calm environment for your baby, so there’s plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and capturing those adorable shots.
Outfits: We will provide a selection of outfits, wraps, blankets, and hats to complement your baby’s look. If there’s a certain outfit or prop you’d like to incorporate be sure to let us know, so we can tailor the look and scene to incorporate it.
Temperature: We maintain a cozy and warm environment for your newborn’s comfort. Dress comfortably yourself, as the studio will be quite warm to keep your baby content.
- Feeding: Newborns often feed frequently, so it’s a good idea to have extra milk or formula on hand.
- Comfort and Safety: Safety is our top priority and we’ve created a safe and comfortable environment for babies. We maintain a strict adherence to safety protocols, using gentle techniques and professional equipment to capture those precious moments without compromising your baby’s safety and comfort. We will gently pose your baby to highlight their delicate features, and always handle your baby with the utmost of care.
Relax: Don’t stress if your baby gets fussy or needs a break. Patience is key, and we’ll work at their pace to ensure beautiful photographs.
Backgrounds and Themes: Our studio offers a variety of backgrounds and setups to match your style and preferences. If you have any themes in mind, let us know, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Final Touches: After the session, our team will meticulously edit and enhance the chosen images. You’ll receive a collection of high-quality, timeless photographs that you’ll treasure for years to come.
